Today we are making hummus. As you can see this is a very simple recipe. It requires very few ingredients, and it has a lot of uses in our diet.
Ingredients:
- 400g of tender chickpeas
- 100ml of EVOO
- 1 garlic clove
- 2 tsp of tahini
- Half a lemon’s juice
- Sweet paprika
- Cumin
- Salt
Preparation:
- We can make our tahini or buy it. You will find instructions on how to make it below if you wish to do it yourself.
- Press the garlic clove.
- Squeeze half a lemon.
- Add the two tsp of tahini, pressed garlic, lemon juice and the salt, cumin and sweet paprika to our liking in the blender. During the next steps we will be able to adjust the salt, cumin and paprika to our liking.
- Add the chickpeas to the mix and blend together.
- Add the EVOO to the mix. In this case we use the arbequina variety.
- Blend until the mix is homogeneous, and adjust the salt, paprika and cumin.
- After this we just have to let it rest and serve.
Our hummus is ready!
